Real. Good. Embodied. Worship. (Bedford, MA)
Worship Workshop for Lay and Professional Worship Leaders, Committees and Teams

- Rev. Marta Valentín, Ministerial Transitions Lead
- Kim Sweeney, Faith Formation Lead
- Sara Dan Jones, Music Director, Starr King UU Fellowship Plymouth, NH
"We are hungry for worship that directs our whole self...not just our mind, ears, or eyes. I do not believe we are looking for some nice, added extra in the form of an occasional dance or dramatic piece in worship, but a radical shift in our awareness and experience of embodiment." Kathryn Sparks
What is real. good. embodied. worship?
Why do some worship services fill us up while others fall flat? How might we approach designing worship that leaves people of all ages with a sense that they have just experienced, and been a part of, something of worth? Join us for an exploration of these questions and more, across congregations and generations, as we consider the whys and the hows of worship that moves us.
- Explore what kinds of worship elements "work" and why...
Deconstruct the myths about multigenerational worship...
- Grasp the urgency in making multicultural worship relevant today...
LOCATION: First Parish in Bedford, MA Unitarian Universalist (Directions)
**This workshop will also be offered in East Greenwich, RI.
