Clara Barton District

The Clara Barton District has been in existence since 2000, when the Central Mass District and Connecticut Valley District merged. District delegates at the time of the merger, chose to name the district after Clarissa Harlowe (Clara) Barton, a Universalist, who was born within our district borders in North Oxford, Massachusetts, on Christmas Day in 1821. She is among the most honored women in US history and is best known for founding the American Red Cross in 1881. Geographically, we encompass central and western Massachusetts, and all but the southwest corner of Connecticut. Numerically, we have 63 congregations and one newly emerging congregation.

District Dues 

Clara Barton District annual dues are calculated at the rate of $22 per reported congregational member for the fiscal year which runs July 1 to June 30. This rate will remain the same for FY16 which runs from July 1, 2015, to June 30, 2016. Payments can be made payable to "Clara Barton District" and mailed to: 182 Main Street, Watertown, MA 02472.
